Anyone see Ron Silver on Hannity & Colms? He spoke very eloquently about how the Democratic Party has missed the boat on foreign policy. He said he had personally asked Kerry some questions which Kerry evaded and never gave the answers to. Silver has switched from being a Democrat to an Independent.
Yes but he disagrees with Bush on social issues and the economy.
Ron Silver is choosing to back Bush on the single issue of foreign policy.
I disagree with him. I think Kerry will make the world safer--and Bush has missed the boat on every single domestic issue from the economy to a woman's right to choose to gay issues.
I love Ron Silver but I think he's wrong.

Why are people like Ron Silver and Bill O'Reilly ashamed to call themselves what they are? Republicans. They just crow and crow about being "independents." O'Reilly is a registered Republican, but he goes on about how he is a registered independent. When confronted with the fact that he is a registered Republican, he lied and said there was no box for independent on his registration card. You can see a copy of his card, written in his own hand, with Republican checked off and the box for independent left blank, in Al Franken's "Lying Liars...."
Speaking of which, Ron Silver became a Republican a long time ago. He was on the Bill Maher show a few weeks ago, and he did his typical bully thing. As Maher was presenting him with Bush's lies and ever-changing rationale for the war in Iraq, Silver did the yelling over Maher technique asking, "Is the world better off without Sadam Hussein? YES OR NO? YES OR NO?"
Maher said, "I am not TALKING about that."
It's that type of Silverian "very eloquent" speech that's so repulsive. Mr. Independent must have felt very comfy on HANNITY and colms.
I can't stand Ron Silver! He's a second rate actor with a small penis.

I can't stand him either. I remember when many queens suddenly thought he was hot when he played a bad guy in Blue Steel 14 years ago. I said, "He was repulsive when he ruined 'Rhoda' and he's repulsive now."
He apparently is a d*ck to work with...heard it from someone who worked on REVERSAL OF FORTUNE!
Tell us more, robbiej, MORE!
The man absolutely oooozes prick. He was brilliant in that underrated masterpiece ENEMIES, A LOVE STORY, however.
How does one oooooze prick, exactly?
Just look at James Woods, Bill O'Reilly, Bill Maher...
while i commend ron silver's endoresement of the president, i must admit that i can't stand him onscreen. thought he was pitiful in blue steel (i never understood the attraction of that movie on the whole), hated him on the west wing (i so wanted sam to head butt him repeatedly until he slipped into a coma). thanks for the endorsement ronny, especially if it keeeps you out of work.
I like Ron Silver as an actor. The part of playing a ****suits him also. How do you know his pee pee is little? Just the facts, man, just the facts.
Namo is so right. I wish the one-issue, ever-unctious Silver -- and Manhattan's answer to Zell Miller, that damned fliberdigibit turncoat faux fop closet case, ED KOCH -- would just own up to their Republican natures, and stop trashing a party they aren't remotely connected to. Koch is so in bed with sleazemeisters like Al D'Amato, it's ludicrous for him to pretend he's anything but a right winger. Koch probably wishes he'd been beloved like Rudy. But at least Rudy -- the man who will someday, somehow have 9/11 a part of his damned monogram, if it kills him -- is halfway decent to gay people (he breaks bread with them in public, and camps out at their apts when the Waldorf is full...) I remain in the Larry Kramer camp on the subj of the former mayor and AIDS. Ron Silver at the RNC was rather amusing, however, since no one knew who he was. He was once president of Equity, a dubious achievement in the eyes of the flag-pin crowd from Peoria.
