Paul Rudd, Emma Stone and James Woods will play the roles made famous by Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine and Fred Macmurray in Jason Reitman's live read of Billy Wilder's classic The Apartment. The rest of the cast is at the link for the event, which is this Friday night at the TimesCenter.

Compare this to Steve Carrell, Natalie Portman and Pierce Brosnan in the LA reading.

I think Stone in particular is an inspired choice. I anticipate I will absolutely adore this. Anyone else going?

Not only inspired, but I thought Rudd would have been the perfect CC Baxter in the revival of Promises, Promises.
