ElTico, you have to order the Godiva chocolate cake. Oh My GOD!

And, K, I will watch you very carefully... but, yes, let's go.

Is the Morton's chain the same as the popular one in LA, or different? I think we have a Morton's in Vancouver as well. Do we have a rank of the best steakhouses in NYC? My goal is to have a gastronomical orgasm next time I'm in town! (I've got my sights on Le Cirque too, unless someone else has turn me on to another high-end fabulous restaurant.)

Tiff: I hate to tell you. Le Cirque is closed. And may not reopen ...

re: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

*tears up a bit* B-b-but why?? It was out of my budget's reach last trip so I stuck with the middle-high end restaurants, but I had my heart set on it this time 'round! Why did it close? I thought it was doing well. *sulk* Well, 21 should be around for a while right?

re: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

The answer is always real estate, Tiffy! And the fact that long standing customers of Le Cirque 2000 really didn't like the whimsy of the latest incarnation, and wanted it to revert back to something a little more traditional. They are supposed to be "renovating" in terms of looking for another location.

21 is still here, and better always be here....

re: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

Have you been before, Kissy? Was it worth those astronomical prices? I'm excited about 21. And DB has another restaurant or two, right? Named...whatever the B stands for? (I could try to spell it, and make an idiot of myself.)

CQ, isn't it? You just can't make it up.

Aren't you lucky, Tico? re: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse re: Ruth's Chris Steakhouse I think the Pac NW holds its own just fine when it comes to gourmet cuisine, don't you?

I have to register my true vote for Smith & Wollensky in the US, until proven otherwise. My Canadian vote goes for Ruth's Chris.
