Why don't we ever hear that a principal has resigned because he's SO upset the seniors are reading on a 4th Grade level? Or they don't know where Delaware is? Or who George Washington was?

That's a lot more "threatening" to our society as a whole than any GSA club could ever be.

We tried to set up a GSA my senior year in High School, he used the "it promotes sex" line also. I'm glad that that school board saw past the BS and set up one anyway.

I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

My school's too small, so we don't have any clubs, and it's private, so they can say whatever the f*ck they want. Which generally isn't too welcoming of gay people.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

At my school, the number of openly gay people equals me, as a total, so there's not much chance of a GSA here. :P but then again, there aren't many clubs here anyway, and there isn't really need of one. My schools really good in suspending anyone who's homophobic, as long as it's reported and followed through by students. but at least they do it. I've had 4 kids suspended this year alone, which was rather nice.

I guess it's something to do with it being a UK school as well. The administration is a LOT more liberal than they're likely to be in America.
