i understand carping at others is human nature, but this thread really got out of hand, another reason i took a day's breather. i sunk to the level of "ad hominem" attacks as well. To take the advice of one poster's implication here that i was out of perspective.

It worked.

It started cuz on my BD i thought "what would i really like to wish for?" and knowing Leslie's frustration at not making SNL, i admittedly whimsically told her i'd start a petition and so i did. i won't proudly claim the intentions since, but the original one was for fun and maybe to let others know more about her.

Even if no more gets signed, her name on the thread topic got nearly 4K hits in a week. Yep, maybe SNL needs much larger "TVQ" like response than that, but it's more than the zero they would have heard about had i not posted.

So i'm fine with that. And i'm fine with letting this go. But here is one last thing to think about, if you are prone to actually thinking and not just hurling catty remarks.

Thanks for coming back to the thread to talk about how you're letting it go, even though it was let go two days ago! And what a comeback response it is!

I mean, you make the sort of Alice Ripley-like snipe in your first paragraph ("Did I say that?") and then move on to talking about how you previously sunk to ad hominem attacks and whatnot when again, you are the one bumping a thread that had lain dormant for two days.

But yeah, okay, St TwoStep. It's all everyone else who's crazy. Your posts - especially this last one - are a bastion of sanity.

I'm not sure I understand the article about confidence. Are you saying Leslie was overconfident in sending that tape in to SNL? Give her a break!

It's a good thing you've vowed that was your last word, otherwise you'd come back with more complaints of nastiness, when it was actually you making the nasty comments toward others or weird rants about everyone trying to continually put you down, which are not quite the case. But no matter, because you've already declared you are DONE (which we already knew but you had to bump the thread two days later just to make sure we did)!
