SNL: President Al Gore

Video clip at the link. My favorite bit:

SNL: President Al Gore

Right now, in the 2nd week of May 2006, we are facing perhaps the worst gas crisis in history.

We have way too much gasoline. Gas is down to $0.19 a gallon and the oil companies are hurting.

I know that I am partly to blame by insisting that cars run on trash.

I am therefore proposing a federal bailout to our oil companies because - hey if it were the other way around, you know the oil companies would help us.
And now, a message from the President of the United States. President Al Gore:

He is really putting himself back in the spotlight all of a sudden. Hmmm, I wonder why? re: SNL: President Al Gore
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Thanks, PalJ.

Your posts never stop brighting my days.

Who says he doesn't have a sense of humor? (I sure hope he runs again. He did win in 2000, so there's a good chance he'd win and get to serve next time.)

I hope he runs in 2008 and tells his "Handlers" to go into the corner to hide.

Political Consultants have helped lose the last two presidential elections for Democrats. I wonder whose payroll they were really on.

HA, I'm not an Al Gore fan in general, but it was a good skit. Actually, not a bad of episode of SNL overall, surprisingly enough :0)

"THE MORNING SHOW" skit was PRICELESS! Definently the best skit of year! There better be a "DEBBIE DOWNER" and a "DEEP HOUSE DISH" next week for the season finale though... those pastiches of club songs in DHD are classic! I particularly loved the ones Eva Longoria episode, her "I Went To The Club" was one of the funniest songs in SNL history. Any other DHD fans out there?

Is he still teaching journalism? What about the TV network he was starting? I've scanned my satellite TV looking for "the Al Gore channel" and haven't found it yet.

When you said Warner, I must admit my first thought was Warner Wolf....

re: SNL: President Al Gore

To be downright honest, I don't know for certain who you are actually talking about. but the idea of a Warner Wolf candidac intrigues me...

re: SNL: President Al Gore

My guess would be Mark Warner, former governor of Virginia. However, I don't see how he'd agree to be someone's Vice-President. I'd guess he wants the Oval Office.

I smiled during Gore's whole skit. What a great sense of humor. I was impressed by his composure, too. I didn't notice him mess up or laugh at himself.

That big smile he has on his face at the very end was priceless. It just made me realize that every single thing he said MIGHT have been.
