SODA?!?!

I dont actually use soda, pop, or coke.
I just say drink. My family would say coke...but then again, thats literally all we kept at our house of the soda variety.
...This reminds me of the bitterness I feel since my school switched to Pepsi this year. They must have offered more money than Coke. The problem is that when Coke went, so did Mello Yello. Now, I am stuck with Pepsi and the pathetic excuse of a drink that is Mt. Dew.

Posted: 9/26/04 at 11:31pmi think we already had a thread about this, and FF went off about how it was unreasonable to call it soda because of some english technicality, and then someone retorted that pop was stupid because it was a sound...

Posted: 9/26/04 at 11:48pmMy cousins say pop, and they live in Chicago. When they first offered me a can, I burst into peals of laughter.

Okay, I'm originally from 30 minutes north of Boston...
MY generation called it soda, however my mother is a GREAT deal older than me and her generation called it "tonic"... so as a child it was "tonic" to me... around high school I started referring to it as "soda".
NEVER "pop"... but you know, that's *WICKED* awesome.

That map BT posted is really interesting.
Proving once again that you can find anything on the internet.
By the way, I was in the Navy for ten years and in the Navy it's called 'Soda' which is stupid, because it's POP (God save Ohio)
I didn't know Pepsi was from North Carolina. That AND John Edwards? No wonder I don't feel sorry that the hurricane is about to smack thier arses.
