What is happening here? Warners picked up the rights to this after Sundance, scheduled it for an October release and it has now mysteriously disappeared, and is "no longer on the slate".
Anybody have any clues? I would kill to see this movie.

That's something at least- didn't it have Matthew Broderick involved in a love triangle with Mr Nobblett and Mr Jellinek? And Sarah Jessica Parker as the new gym teacher? Or something like that.

I had really high hopes for this. Sadly, it looks like it'll be passed around and collect dust. I hope they at least release it on video.

Sadly, I've heard that it didn't quite live up to what it should have been.

I've been pumped for this movie however i've heard that it's really not that great. Apparently they use the exact same jokes and they recast Guy Blank. Either way, i'm still dying to see it.

Anything with the untalented and unfunny Amy Sedaris deserves to go straight to video while her unfunny, mean-spirited brother's books collect dust on the remainder table.

Awwwww I think Amy Sedaris is a great talent. I love Strangers with Candy, and hope the movie comes out somewhere soon.

the show is either one you love or you hate. i'm on the loooove side. i dont think there has been a single episode where i've been in complete hysterics. I can defintely see why many don't like it though.

I hated this show the first few times I saw it.

Then I slowly started to like it. Now, I love it. Especially the one where she plays Mama Younger in Raisin in the Sun. And any other episode featuring her stepmother.

And Orlando is so cute.

strangers with candy is one of my all time favorite TV shows, i hope the movie at least gets a video release.

i'm sure it'll come to video, theatres, i'm a bit skeptical. Where i live we have a little cinema that always shows independant movies and movies that dont get released in the major theatres. I'm hoping it will at least go there.
"I like the pole.. and the hole. and right now i'm as moist as a snack cake down there" gross yet insanely hilarious. Only that show could get away with saying things like that

I gave this show chance after chance after chance and it never grew on me. Frustrating, because everyone I know loves it.

This is true- it's full of cameos inc. Hoffman, Parker &Broderick, Alison Janney, Kristin Johnston as Coach Muffy Diver and more. That's got to make it worth the theatrical release alone-then again, the show seems to divide people- I've shown it to people I thought would love it, and they've hated it, then I showed it to some (I thought) quite conservative people that I wasn't sure about, and they ended up rolling around on the floor singing "I wanna sit at the welcome table!" at the top of their voices. You never can tell.

I would love for them to do a fourth season. the finale to the third season was hilarious, and the way they left it, it would be perfect for a continuation.
