I would normally agree Ken getting rid of David would have been a good idea. But Ken's entire game was based on loyalty. And he didn't shut up about that the entire season. I think the flip at the last minute cost him some votes.

Sure. I just think he would have had better chance if he stuck to his game and let them go to the fire challenge. LOTS of people on that jury did not like David. And once Adam told the story about his mother to the jury the game was over.

Was the $100,000 matched donation by Bristol Meyers per donation or a total cap? If it was just a donation of $100,000, I thought that to be rather cheap for such a large company. A friend told me it wasn't per donation, but the total they were giving. I was also surprised that CBS or the producers of Survivor did not donate anything to the charity.

I understood it to be the total cap, but that may be because I've never heard of a matching donation thing described in terms of each and every donation being matched. They usually want to emphasize the larger amount, so they speak in terms of the total, if there's a cap.

When Probst was talking about the generosity, I couldn't help but wonder how much a regular commercial of the same length in prime time would have cost them. I suspect it would have been about the same.

And we are talking about Big Pharma here: not only is the company loaded, but it has a vested interest in finding medicinal cures for cancer. New products to sell!

I liked Adam and his story is quite compelling but I find the circumstances surrounding the final immunity a little fishy. The fact that there would even be another immunity idol that late in the game surprised me. Then, that he would happen to find it so easily along the beach seemed a little too much. Am I the only one who questions the integrity of this season?

There is always colored paint around from tribe merges and setups, so that didn't bother me. Cynical as it sounds, I do have to wonder how much influence the cancer story had on the voting. Hearing about the passing of his mother was quite emotional and I totally get it, but I felt like the season really ended up being about his mother's cancer story than anything else. To me, the biggest story of the season was really Hannah's transformation. I thought she was utterly hopeless and ridiculously stupid, but by that final tribal, I would have totally given her my vote to win. I thought she really nailed the Q&A and left the other two in the dust, especially in rebuking Adam who kept focusing on "blunders" that were only considered to be blunders by him because the goals were accomplished, just not in the exact order he desired at the time. He sounded ridiculous. To me, Hannah made the best case for strategic gameplay and was by far the most convincing. I was actually surprised she didn't win.

I agree with you about Hannah, also.

And was totally surprised that Adam won with a clean sweep.
