"Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor."

Anyone think McCain will keep her or will she step down to spend more time with her family? Hard to say. This woman is really going to bring McCain down. Not with his crazy die hard supporters who would support him if he picked OJ Simpson, but the undecided's I think have already decided.

Read the article- she also turned a small-town mayoralty into a national referendum on Abortion (Including national Right To Lifers mailing out propaganda for her) and a great story how she took office and promptly tried to fire everyone she thought "didn't support her."
Oh yeah, the abortion thing got so heated that people were writing "BABYKILLER" on campaign posters- for Sarah's Mother-in-law!

The woman is a extreme right winger. Back in 2000 people said Al Gore was to much of a liberal and that he needed to move more to the center. Also heard this about Howard Dean when he was running. So, why is OK for a Republican to be an extremist and be President (GW Bush) but its bad for a liberal to be an extremist and President?
Other than the extreme RW, who is Sarah Palin appealing to?
I am waiting for the sex tape to come out. Its the only thing left.
