Ha ha. Blow out your candles, Laura. :)
Roomie is new. The Probie's hard to figure out, IMO. He's probably tied with Garrity for stupidest, but he's definitely the gentlest of the bunch (well, save for an incident last season when he punched out his ex-gf's new flame). A Tao-of-Pooh reading, innocent, insecure guy who wants to prove himself to the other firefighters. So far he suffered an awful rape last year (by a "grateful" survivor of a fire), dated a dominant Amazon chick, has had lots of meaningless sex and screwed up the healthiest, most loving romantic relationship he'd ever been in because he was embarassed by the woman's weight (and when he changed his mind she had moved on and wouldn't take him back). I don't know if he's experimenting, trying to find out who he is or whatever, but this storyline should be interesting. All I know is that I'm sickened by the Tommy/Janet crap.
The unicorn is my favorite.
Was "Probie's" rapist male or female? and the punching out of the new flame may have been sublimated homoerotic attraction. i might have to start watching this show. It was hard to tell from the clip, but is Probie or the roomie the one who was on SUNSET BEACH? i guess i could IMDB it or use TVTOME, but you guys are so much more fun.
if they're currently monitoring, just sent ROB BO and BORSTAL some PM's. Couldn't get one other one to send, though. Anyone else getting intermittent BWW glitches....

I've enver seen Sunset Beach, so I don't know...I'm sorry.
Probie was assaulted in a previous season, by a male AND a female. It was horrendous.
I really recommend you rent the first two seasons. MUCH better than the show is now. It had great, gritty stuff.
i should get those seasons as i've never seen an episode where i didn't admire the acting, even if the writing was a bit off.

Im so pissed I missed this weeks episode (at least it was for a good reason).
*Spoiler*
I was blown away by Tommy beating up on his brother though. oh my god. I mean, honestly, we OBVIOUSLY knew he was going to react like that, but still... Insane.
Was there anything else between the Susan Sarandon character and Franco this week or was she actually written out last week when he gave her back the watch?
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
ROB BO, which actor in the scene is from SUNSET? all the SUNSET photos are of a blond, but the clip shows two dark-haired guys...so did the SUNSET regular become a RESCUE ME regular, or was he cast as the regular's "new provider"?
the blond guy on the left (timothy adams) is the one from sunset beach. i have never watched the show so i do not know his history on the show.

Probie's roomie (the blonde Sunset Beach guy) is a new character this season. Not sure he'll become a regular, but we're bound to see him again.
let's hope so. Not only is it good eye candy, but it will be interesting to see where the writers take this storyline. Is Dennis Leary's brother's ghost still showing up?
And how is your typing course coming, little sister?

I dropped out. Shh...
Jimmy is Tommy's cousin who died on 9/11 (Sheila is his widow), who has visited him from the dead the first two seasons...serving as his conscience. We haven't seen Jimmy this season.
Johnny is Tommy's brother. He's a cop.

Double post, sorry. ****SPOILER BELOW****
CJR...to answer your question...yes, there was one telling scene between Franco and the Susan Sarandon character (I forget her name).
Franco is kind of worrying she's getting too attached, but she says she basically has him pegged (70% boy, 20% man, 10% animal, or something along those lines) but sees the goodness in him, and how great he is with Keela, and she feels he's worth taking a chance on. I'm really worried, though, because she asked about Keela's mom, and he said she was dead, and admitted that he "stole her back" from the foster parents (they are still collecting the checks so they didn't report him). I just know she'll bust him or use this info against him if he decides he wants to stop seeing her.

brother, cousin, very accomodating roomie, who can keep them all straight (so to speak).
And i won't let on about secretarial school if you keep it to yourself about the Merchant Marines.
Actually, Jimmy did appear on at least one occasion in Tommy's truck in re: the Gavin family line and his son's behavior with Mrs. Turbody. There was a bit how either one of them wouldn't have minded banging one of the nuns.
As for the fate of the show? I disagree with you that this season is any weaker. It's a slightly different direction, less "gritty" per se. But the plots and subplots are still excellent, and I still enjoy every minute of the show.

Oh MAN Franco was totally asking for it with that one! thanks for the update! I'm hoping it'll rerun again at some point this weekend so I can catch it. It;s very rare that I miss it completely

the show does repeat tonite at 11 p.m.
dang, missed it again. Does the "oral contract" take place before or after the noggin-nuzzling during the first beer of the game?!?!?
Blueroses, i have a magician's scarf for you.
the cuddling scene is in episode 3 of the third season and the other scene (which is really bad) is in episode 4.
so last night's episode was Episode Four. Did we get the feeling after the "who's gayer" discussion, the wrestling match turned into something else?!?!?
And the episode three noggin-nuzzling...that was the entire scene and story line for roomie that episode? they are really drawing it all out.
Apparently from what i could gather last night, "Probie" (which is a hilarious nick), is for anyone new on the squad, maybe short for "probationary." Am i off on that, those of you with firehouse experience?
txtwostep, i'm going to buy you a lifetime subscription to "men" magazine and a copy of the slang dictionary.

TxTwoStep - Yes, it's short for probationary, I believe.
