"That same judge has dug into his pocket and given money to people in the parish who were undergoing very hard times and spends several night a week working at the local soup kitchen."
How nice. A generous bigot, no doubt. But a BIGOT nonetheless.
"Yes, gay issues are important, but they shouldn't be the only barometer of a person's decency."
Bigotry directed at any minority is a pretty damn good barometer of someone's decency or lack thereof. But of course, nobody takes anti-gay bigotry as seriously as other kinds of hate, evidently not even gay people. I can't imagine anybody'd be defending a Pillar Of The Church and Honored Judge if he was also a member of the KKK.

Roscoe, you have an enormous amount of anger in you. Why don't you find ways to deal with it?

Oh, Dolly. I'm deeply touched by your concern. Deeply touched. As touched as I am by your tales of your Bigoted Pillar Of Church budedy. I promise I'll do better!
Maybe you should think about pointing out your Republipal's bigotry to him as clearly as you point out my anger to me. Suggest that he deal with his hatred of gays. See what happens.

Send Dolly your picture. If he finds you attractive, he'll give you a pass.
