Where the heck is the cast of Juno?? Hairspray over Juno? Are they insane?

And Paul Dano wasn't deserving for this performance, I think. If anyone was going to get an Oscar nod for Little Miss Sunshine, however, it should have been him.

Also, as far as Atonement goes, I think Saoirse Ronin (Ronan?) gives the only performance in the film truly worthy of an award. Knightley and McAvoy were fine, but nothing special. Knightley was much better in Pride and Prejudice.

And why are people so outraged about Sweeney? No one saw it in time, so it didn't get nominations. There were no SAG screenings for it, at least none that I got invited to. So it wasn't necessarily a snub. Don't worry, it'll get Oscar nods.

And "There Will Be Blood" - ok, Day Lewis is ridiculous in this movie. Towering, towering performance. No one else comes close in that category. And I can understand the lack of a nomination for best ensemble because he IS the movie. Everyone else is perfectly serviceable and does a fine job, but he overpowers everything. The rest of the best actor nominees should stay home, honestly. I mean, come on, Emile Hirsch?? Hal Holbrook was incredible in Into the Wild, but Hirsch???? Good Lord.
