Seth Macfarlane's Broadway Obsession

Well, The Sound of Music is allegedly his favorite movie, and he has a lot of natural artistic gifts. I don't believe he ever pursued acting--he went from studying animation at RISD to working on animated shows in LA. He has a large orchestra do the music for his shows, something that isn't really done very much anymore, and he trains in singing with a couple who've been teaching for a long time--they have had a lot of famous pupils. Seth seems like a reincarnated rat packer to me.
I know way too much about this person. Sheesh.

He's the man. The cast of Family Guy will be on Inside The Actors Studio later this year, and I'm going to attend the taping since it is done at my school. I might pee myself.

It's because he's gay.

I think Seth is REALLY hot! Sounds pretty cool Judas. Should be pretty fun because he is always breaking into characters like Stewie or Peter.Nygrl232,you should write a book or start a fan site.(LOL) Did not know he trained in singing but am not a bit surprised. Would love to see him do some theater. He could play Baron Von Trap in a Sound of Music Production!

Don't think I'd do a fansite--he probably has enough already!
Seth as Baron von Trapp? I don't think I've ever seen Seth do anything non-ironically, so it'd be nice to see him smoulder. In a uniform.

There are a bunch of threads on the main board about his use of showtunes in FG.
He has a true love for musicals and Big Band era standards.
He also has an amazing voice.
He is also god.
Obama supporters may *think* that their man is the messiah, but people who know Seth's work know better.

It is my understanding that he was a Musical Theatre major at Carnegie Mellon back in the day.

Yes, he does have a Peter Brady thing going on!
I find FG funny about 40% of the time, but I do admire what Seth's built. Wonder where he gets the energy and if all the stuff he has to do takes its toll on him at all. He seems pretty even keeled in interviews, but that could be the Jack Daniels in his coffee cup.

Damn! They could be twins (with Seth being the hotter, funnier one).

they should have Christopher Knight do a guest voice role! hell they should do the entire brady bunch (sans the dad of course) do their voices... like what they did with the star trek guys last night!

I remember reading an interview with him. He was talking with one of his friends who does the music on his show about the kinds of sounds he wants. He said that his friend commented that he has a record collection that only an 80 year old man would have.

I have always used up my birthday wishes to see Stewie Griffin singing King Herod's Song from Jesus Christ Superstar. I would pay very good money to see that.
