I thought when I first saw the convict's (Jeremy Meek) picture it was going to be another story about an actor I'm crushing on (Jesse Williams) getting into trouble.

No, skin color has very little to do with it.

It's the features I was focusing on, like the eyes, the lips and the ears, the hairline, etc.

The eyebrows are different though.

To answer the question: I certainly see the resemblance, but I think Meek is actually better looking (in that one photo, anyway).
