"Shawn Ashmore best know for his role as Bobby Drake/Iceman in "X2: X-Men United" and "EarthSea" will play a second-rate porn star with AIDS in the indie feature "3 Needles". The character passes his monthly blood test by stealing blood from his geriatric father. He will replace the previously announced Scott Speedman. Look at it this way... he played a freak with a tinny thingy in "Blood Moon" and now he's playing a porn star. Talk about versatile... Plus, great things happen to the careers of actors who portray porn stars. Look what happened to Mark Wahlberg. He'll go the rest of his life with people stopping him on the street and asking "Was that thing real?". It's interesting though because the director of "3 Needles" is the same guy that directed "Blood Moon". So, hopefully he now wants to show us the real Shawn Ashmore...

I can't fathom how prosthetics could shrink something like that. I just don't know how they'd do it.

Obviously the real Shawn Ashmore was tucked away and the prosthetics were glued on. he wore whitie tighties in another movie and unless he stuffed four or five socks in there I think he's fine... Updated On: 1/8/05 at 10:51 PM

Actually, I saw foreign dvd of "Blood Moon" (aka 'Wolf Girl') and that wasn't a prosthetic. Haha, it was digitally altered. Obviously, he's not afraid to bare all, because he is seen in a behind-the-scenes take of going through the motions before the scene was digitally enhanced. So he's just standing there completely naked doing the scene. Very interesting.

This is too funny, my friend grew up with Shawn and Aaron Ashmore (they're twins) -- they lived near my house before they moved out to BC.
