She was definitely the first of many plastic surgery disasters of the women on GH.

Posted: 2/4/08 at 10:42pmI thought she was prettier and a lot more fun than Laura. So young.

Posted: 2/4/08 at 10:50pmNamo, are you sure it was poor plastic surgery? I remember noticing something from the very start seemed off about her face but I was giving credit to ABC for her talent rather than looks.

even tho i never followed GH, i was sad when i read this.
anytime i was stuck in a place where i couldnt avoid GH, i would pray that it was an episode with AMY because at least then i would have *some* kind of laugh!
ya'll know she was one of the pioneers of home shoppin!

I read about that the other day. Very sad.
They never gave Amy much to do. I remember a brief romance with a boxer in the eighties, but she was mostly in Genie's shadow. Shel wasn't the greatest actress, but she was memorable as Amy and I liked the Webber family dynamic. Robin Mattson was probably the best actress on the show in that era.

I'll say! I remember Jackie Zeman being one of the most naturally beautiful women on television. I'm sure she felt tremendous pressure to look good, but she's had MORE than a nip/tuck...her nose is all screwed up, she's got implants in her face, etc.

Posted: 2/4/08 at 10:56pmP.S. Jane, I may be wrong but I think Shel had breast implants and they wrote it into a storyline.

Oh, Namo must be right. I just went back and viewed a couple of videos of Shell on GH. She was very pretty. It is a shame what plastic surgery can do.
Thanks, Blue, I stopped watching GH in the 80's so I must have missed that part.

I think this is taking breast implants a little too far, but the woman seems very happy!

Besty-lol, the title of that photo on the site I found it was "eeeeew."
Back to Shell-I remember that her character on GH was the "gossipy nurse." I enjoyed her.
