I would have you put "BWW.COM THUG LIFE" across your waistline, the butt stuff is too easy, go for the gusto!
Boy it seems I missed a great deal last night!
But I was otherwise happily detained.

drinking before getting ink is ill advised. makes your blood thinner, you bleed more.

From your nose..
Where you think one would bleed? Where the needle is sticking in to your skin!(LOL)

yeah, they essentially scrape/stab your skin with a needle that has ink on it. you bleed. if you drink before hand to dull the pain, you bleed more.

Tattoos unlike infatuations never fade. Be sure you want it the rest of your life.
If you decide to get one, there is only one place to place it that won't embarrass you when you grow tired of it nor cheapen your looks at any age.
Above the left pectoral.
Cheers!

OOOooo a butterfly on my ankle!!! OOOooo a sun on my lower back!!! ohmygodicantbelieveididthis!!! it's no longer cool nor a sign of individuality, just of conformity...

Posted: 4/9/04 at 11:08amand one other thing... exactly what tribe do these "tribal" tattoos come from? a tribe of one's own making? more correctly, they should be identified as tribal-inspired...

I don't know what the hell happened to this thread, why is everyone jumping on everyone else?
About the tribals, this sums it up well:
The term tribal is most often applied to the indigenous people of a nation including, but not limited to, the Native Americans, Aztecs, Mayans, Eskimos, and Maori.
Native tribal peoples display a vast variety of social and ethnic customs; yet they have all developed some basic common elements: a traditional way of life rooted in stability, peace, respect for neighbors, and an attempt to live in harmony with the natural environment.
"Tribal tattoos are often influenced by art from native, indigenous tribes. Such tattoos include Maori patterns, Eskimo totems and Aztec sun clocks. Other types of tribal tattoos rely more on the use of heavy lines to create an image. These tattoos often consist of black linework but color tattoos are becoming more frequent in this category." (Dreamland creations).
You know, and feel free to respond...PLEASE. I, personally, have two tattoos both very simple and not where evryone would see it (like lower back or whatever). I was acually at a tattoo place the other night and this woman wanted to get a martini glass done. Agh..I was speechless. Just....THINK ABOUT IT FIRST, for at the VERY least a few weeks. I have a blue star on my back shoulder and the other is very small on my torso I guess? not on it but a bit higher, but on my said. If I stood up and put let my arms hang down, it's basically where my elbow would line up.
sort of hard to describe. I hope that makes sense a little sense. The one my side is maybe a half an inch high and very simple, it's in hebrew (3 symbols) and the language was chosend for a certain reason, not to mention the symbols. whic are just small and in black. The other one is on my back shoulder. But anyway, the one on my side, no one really sees at all and considering I got it because it means something to ME...I don't go around showing it to everyone and usually peoplecan see the star on, but the other one is so meaningful to me, I don't need anyone to see it.
I was actually thinkig I may get another. My friend sent me an amazing design...if anyone is intersested in seeing it...PM me.
My personal opinion on tattoos (don't jump on me if you don't happen to agree...This is going to be with you for pretty much the rest of your life..

I have a fairly noticeable butterfly and flowers on my ankle (of which I already described the significance much earlier in this thread). If I'd thought about it, I'd've probably just stuck with the butterfly because I'm at the age where it's going to start looking ridiculous in another 5 or 10 years (some might say it already does, lol). Whatever. I like it. It means something to me and the circumstances aren't going to change (it is in memory of a friend who died).
But I can't help remembering a guy I met who had a big beautiful graytone photographic tattoo of his wife on his upper arm. It was stunning, and it was very identifiable as a specific person. Well, she ran off with his friend. Divorce city. It's a rough tattoo for him to be looking at every morning in the mirror.
I also remember my daughter talking about what tattoo she would get once she was old enough. At one point she insisted she wanted a cow jumping over the moon....and I said, I'll buy it for you when you turn 18 if you still want it. (She was 13 and loved Rent at the time). Of course, 5 years later, she has no interest in either cows or Rent. When she was 15 she settled on the idea of a small Kokkopelli on her hip, and I, having mellowed, said you can get it when you turn 17... She turned 17, and while she likes knowing she could have it if she wanted to, she's decided she's not that interested in getting *any* artwork for the time being. No particular point here. Just one experience.
