Shubert Question
#0Shubert Question
Posted: 2/27/04 at 11:05pmI need advice. I've been to the Shubert before, but I sat in the mezzanine, so I don't have a good feel for the orchestra. Which are better seats: Row N (Center Orchestra) or Row B (Left Orchestra, on the aisle). I like Row N because it's a really good view, but I like Row B cause it's close. Which is the better seat? Thanks for your help.

Which side of the aisle is the row b seat? Closer to the center orchestra or aaaaaaaaaaaallll the way on the side? If it's closer to the center orchestra, definitely go with that one.
I love that theatre like it's my job
And I know far too much about it haha

Posted: 2/28/04 at 5:17pmI sat in Center Orch. Row N. Fabulous seats. I was nervous at first that they were too far back. But I was surprised, the theatre's a lot smaller than you'd thin. Or atleast the orchestra is. The only complaint is that the sound for that theatre isn't great, so you do get, or atleast I got, some echoes early in the show.

It says
First row by Stage. Seat 1 is on aisle.
Does that mean that Row A does not exsit, because there's a Row A on the seating chart?

Yes, for Gypsy row A is non-existant because of the orchestra pit. Essentially you are in the front row -- I'd take those seats over the center orch seats further back.
Im such a whore for front row at the shubert
Ahhhh memories -- I love that theatre.

#10Row A at Shubert...
Posted: 3/1/04 at 10:34pmOrchestra Row A does exist for GYPSY! I was just there last week - Row C three rows back, front and center in seats 110 and 111. Seats numbers go higher from left to right as you face the stage.

I said that in my post right before yours.
There is no row AA or A because of the orchestra pit.
<---- has spent/spends enough time there to know

Then why do I have ticket stubs from Gypsy that say Row A Orchestra on them? lol Next time I'm there I shall look at the letters on the seats.
