My signature is a quote from the very talented and hysterical Donna Lynne Champlin. It's a portion of a story she told about Hollywood Arms in the interview I conducted with her re: re: signature show and tell.

My signature is my favorite quote from my favorite movie. Really not much else to say, is there? :)

Actually, Kitzarina, there is more to say. Your quote, although used in Moulin Rouge is actually from a song called "Nature Boy" written in 1948 by Eden Ahbez for the film The Boy With Green Hair. It was recorded by Nat King Cole and was a pretty big hit for him. So yes, it is a great quote, but let's give credit where it is due.:)

I change my signature line about as frequently as I change my icon so, depending on when this read, it may or may not make sense. The current line about dangerous baboons is a line from The Omen. In a scene where Damien and his mother go to a drive thru zoo, baboons start attcaking the car. The guided tous cassette playing in teh car warns them as they enter the primate area to....

OK, well mine is an oldie, but goodie. I have no idea who originally said it, but I love what it stands for: Powerful/talented women. It represents that for a very long time (particularly during the days of Fred and Ginger) women were not only capable of doing what men could do, but they could do much more...they just weren't always recognized for going above and beyond; it was just expected of them.

I did know that Sueleen, but I first heard the quote in Moulin Rouge. Sorry if I made myself sound ignorant--I can be pretty good at doing that sometimes :)

Har De har Har, Suleen! I was just changing it to make for a tidy post. Humph!

Anyway, mine are the first lines of the verse for Roger Edens' song SALOME from MGM's film of Cole Porter's DuBARRY WAS A LADY, sung by the fabulouso Virginia O'Brian.

My previous long-lived signature ("not so clozz boyzz! etc.) was spoken by the world's most irresisible woman and spy, Mata Machree (Lyda Roberti) in the film MILLION DOLLAR LEGS (1932).
