I managed to get my younger sister an audition with my theatre group, but the only issue is that I can't find many short monologues for a child as young as her.
She's only 7, and the monologue would be preferably simple (as in, easy to memorize/recite.) It is her first audition, so I don't want to give her anything too difficult and tense her up.
There's one from alice in wonderland (Play)that is short and sweet
Fear no more the heat o' the sun,
Nor the furious winter's rages;
Thou thy worldly task hast done,
Home art gone and ta'en thy wages:
Golden lads and girls all must,
As chimney-sweepers, come to dust.
