It's a wonder that, with Rhoda and Wilona blazing the trail, that headscarves werent more popular.
Oh yes, Rhoda did love her headscarves, didn't she?
Didn't Phyllis (Lars' wife) also like her a good headscarf?
speaking of guest stars...Beverly Sanders as the perpetually pregnant friend on Rhoda...among MANY others shows.
Patty Duke on The Torkelsons as Boarder Hodges's (William Schallert) ungrateful daughter.
Now THAT was excellent casting.
I didnt know anyone watched The Torkelsons.

I liked The Torkelsons. I think the show had a different name at one point.
Re: the headscarves. Loved it! Especially when paired with smoky eyes and big hoop earrings. Maybe I'll wear one tomorrow!
It did change names - that's when Brittany Murphy joined the cast as the bratty stepsister.
She had the spark then!
going back to the original intent of the thread...Ken Berry on Carol Burnett...he once did a dance in white tennis shorts...it made me gay at 7 years old, I think.
All of the numbers on her show...wish they'd release a compilation of all of them.
Also, Debbie Reynolds as Dan's nutjob mother on Roseanne.
Ken Berry did a few musical numbers on "Mama's Family," too -- a Fred Astaire thing in one of the early episodes, and later he did "Side by Side" with Thelma.
Yeah, Calvin...but you have to watch Mama's Family to get to it.
He did wear an Elvis suit one time...I always look for that one.
That was the Fred Astaire one. He morphs into "Vinnie Vegas."

Debbie Reynolds played everyone's nutjob mother!
Although the show itself wasn't a comedy, The Practice had one of THE best (dark) comic performances by a guest actress. Betty White as Catherine Piper! She was absolutely amazing.
I also liked Debbie as Dan's crazy mom in that last, terrible, season of Roseanne.
Oh! Last terrible season of Roseanne - Dina Merrill! Funny, funny FUNNY.
Emma Thompson on Ellen is the best overall performance, and very funny writing.
That's why I mentioned her upthread.
And Dan's mother was also played by the divine Ann Wedgeworth in one of the early seasons--remember John Randolph as Ro's dad?
I remember both. I actually never liked Ann Wedgeworth in anything. She got on my nerves.

You didn't like Lana on Three's Company?!
I knew that would needle you, Rath...hee!
HATED Ann Wedgworth, except in that Roseanne.
Tony nominee.
I remember Randolph -- back when Roseanne's dad was just annoying, not an abusive philanderer.
I LOVE those floozy gals! And Rhonda on L&S....
No, blue, I did not.
um...Randolp is a man, so therefore inappropriate for this thread...however, Shelley Winters was wonderful as Great Grandma.
