Jack- I've been to both. Didn't care for King's Island, like Cedar Point in sandusky, enjoyed Millenium Force.
But now-- Kingda Ka is the fastest, tallest coaster in the world!!!!! It was freakin awesome! Got to the park right before it opened, ran straight to KK when they opened the ropes, waited 15 minutes to get to the top of the platform, then chose to wait another 20 to go in the front car. So worth it, such an awesome ride!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to go back on Thursday!!!!!!!

Two Six Flags Questions:
My partner and I are thinking about going tomorrow or Monday. I'm assuming that it will a very busy time for them. What can we expect the wait times for the major coasters to be if we were to go over this weekend?
Also, someone mentioned earlier on this thread that Six Flags in NJ has a "Gay Day." I did a search on the Six Flags site and didn't come up with anything. Anyone know when the next Gay Day is?
Thanks.

No idea when Gay Day is, sorry.
On the weekends, especially a holiday weekend, I'd expect the lines for big rides like Nitro, Medusa, Batman, Superman, Chiller to be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours each. Kingda Ka (which was closed on Thursday, by the way, and I was really pissed) will have a 4-6 hour wait.
I'd recommend getting there early and buying a Q-Bot (as those also sell out early) so you can reserve times for the big rides.

Thanks for the info. How much is the Q-bot and when does it usually sell out by? I can't find the pricing info on the six flags website. I would be taking the bus from Port Authority, so we wouldn't have much say over when we get there, but it's scheduled to be at 10:30.
Thanks.

Posted: 9/3/05 at 6:57pmIt depends on the number of people using it. I think it's $20 for the base unit, and then $15 for each person using it. The line is pretty long at the beginning of the day, and it sells out by about 10:30 or 11.

Until now I always said that I would ride anything. This I don't think I could ride.

You couldn't pay me to go on Kingda Ka. I had to do a report on roller coasters for the final in Intergrated Applications last year. Part of it was all about Kingda Ka, and how huge and fast it was...and how it malfunctioned only a few days after it opened.
So nope, no roller coasters for me.

Posted: 9/4/05 at 5:36pmKingda Ka was amazing, I can't wait to go again as I've only gone on it once this summer because it has been down the other times I was there, or the line back in May was 5+ hours.
