I just got back from going out with a bunch of friends from the theatre group. We went to Bennigan's and sat at the bar. I don't drink. Never have. Never Will.
On the other hand, people got beers like you wouldn't beleive. My friend knows the bartender and he gave everyone free beers and shots all which probably added up to over 90$.
All I got was french fries and water.
My bill came to 2.43 (expensive fries, I know)
I gave 5.00$ as a tip and people were absolutely freaking out at me how I should of gave more and how he (the bartendar) was so nice. And yes, it was very kind of him to give everyone free drinks. And I wouldn't have normally given that much of a tip but since I was with a group of people and he was very kind, I gave him it.
Other people's bills were more like 9 or 10$ and they gave him 20$ tip! Which, of course, is probably still less than it would have been with all their drinks.
Was it right for them to attack me for only giving him as much as I did- especially since I didn't drink at all?
