A TEACHER!!

I got the call at about 9:30 this morning offering me the job. Of course I am telling them that I need to think about it and discuss it with my husband, but I am accepting it later this afternoon. I am so excited right now!

Sorry, just had to share.

I will be teaching 4th grade in a private school. The pay isn't that great, but a parent of one of my future students is a former 4th grade teacher so she is giving me all of her old materials and resources and another parent puts aside a certain amount of money each year for each teacher to spend on their classroom needs and this year it is $500 per teacher. Those two factors alone make up for the salary differences.

Thank you again guys. Well I am heading out of here to go to Ikea and then head home. We're cutting the trip short so I can go see my new classroom and officially accept the job.

Thanks again guys! Glebby, I'm so sorry we didn't get to meet. I wanted to rush back here to meet with the principal and get a peak at my classroom, but thanks to construction for most of the trip home I just now made it in. We should have just stayed in Chicago and hung out with you and Tanny.

I am ridiculously excited and nervous at the same time. I just want August to get here so I can start teaching.
