wait...I thought they performed tonight, then the votes were announced on Sunday. Didn't she just sing tonight?

Didn't she sing the same song she sang the first time? Bad mistake!
Thats how it works usually.
They only perform 3 times, once in the audition, once in the semi-finals and then, obviously...the final.
Most are told to perform the song that made them popular in the first place.
The Shaheen kid, 2 Grand, Shaun Smith, Julian Smith, Aiden Davis did the same performance but to a different song...and then of course Susan Boyle.
Out of the 10 finalists, only 4 acts did something different.

They are ok, but I feel like they're doing cheerleading dance moves.
I thought they had a nice act but nothing more than that. They reminded me of acts I'd seen years ago on old variety shows.
The problem I have with them winning is that, yes they definitely put on a good show and left the audience in awe (lets remind everyone here that cheerleading/dance troops are essentially unheard of here in the UK beyond what we see in films like Step Up/Bring It On etc.)...BUT...what are they going to do now they've won?
Opening for the Olympics was suggested, and I like the idea of having a big dance show down...but they aren't exactly going to be able to do much else.
So I guess that means Britain's got sort of talent?
(kidding, I know there are loads of talented Brits)
It is nice that she had her moment of fame but I am glad all of the hoopla will be over. I was getting tired of seeing her all over the place. She was even all over our local news.
Wow - I cannot believe that is what won.........it sort of reminded me of Bowling with Midgets.
