Anyone else see it this weekend?
I went in with low expectations and found it to be a decently entertaining (albeit predictable) western adventure set in the Star Wars universe. Alden Eihenreich and Donald Glover were servicable as Han and Lando, as was Woody Harrelson. Emilia Clark's chracter didn't make an impression on me for 90% of the film.
I think the real star of the film was actually Chewbacca, who pretty much stole every scene he was in; the scene where he and Han meet was easily the best in the movie.
I enjoyed a lot of the references to the old expanded universe, but was mixed on the end cameo by a certain ex-Sith lord. Having watched Star Wars Rebels, I knew who it was almost instantly and it's interesting how they seem to be setting up a direct sequel. I can't imagine they would end with such a cliffhanger unless they were planning on continuing the story.
