The current tour schedule has a hiatus between the end of June and early September. Seems possible they’ll bring this to Broadway for a short summer engagement.

Is Dirty Dancing confirmed for this season? Anyone have the scoop? The current tour schedule has the show closing in Toronto in January. It could possibly make a spring/summer pit stop at the Marquis.

There definitely is some internal negotiations happening regarding tour producers and presenters who also happen to be co-producers, Nederlander, John Gore, and ATG, where the lead producers intentionally take a hit sending out the shows on lower tiers for something in exchange from the presenters. Presenters have to divest from their stake in the show when it tours, but that would probably take a DOJ that cares. Wasn’t it suspected Brown was being replaced? Kind of interesting the producers are stating the opposite. Producers revealed, "The new Broadway production of Dreamgirls, directed and choreographed by Camille A. Brown, is absolutely moving forward... As with any major Broadway production, schedules evolve as the various elements come together, and the production will no longer open in Fall 2026... We look forward to announcing the theatre, dates and casting when they are confirmed."
