And then I go and spoil it all by saying

I practice everyday to find some clever lines
To say to make the meaning come true......
But then I think I'll wait until the evening gets late

And then I go and spoil it all by saying

I love the Williams/Kidman cover.
I prefer it to the older versions.
Don't know why...
Generally, Robbie Williams gives me the creeps.

Steve and Eydie's was the best. Ordinarily their covers of Sinatra songs were obsequious and fawning. But, in this case, it WAS weird (as Jon points out) that a father and daughter were singing a love song.
Add to that the fact that you just knew Eydie LOVED to call Steve "Hey STUPID!"
Robbie and Nicole sing it pretty. But "Something Stupid" was always about the psychodrama. Right, 'Quise?
All right, boots. Start WALKIN'!
