(Random question that will probably not get a response...)
My favorite band is Something Corporate.
They have been a 5 member band as long as I've been a fan.
Some recent photos on their website show only 4 members.
The hottest one, guitarist William Tell (yes. like the overture), is suspiciously missing.
He is, however, still listed in the bios section, and the Q&A section.
Does anyone know what the deal is with that?
Has sir hotness left the band?!?!
Well, I looked it up, and I'm sorry to say that William Tell has indeed left Something Corporate. ![]()
The people on the site say that the new guitarist is pretty good, though.
Sadness!!!
I am completely bummed.
Gov, thanks for looking it up.
Are you a SoCo fan?
Thats no good, i saw them at Warped Tour a couple years ago and I really liked them. I would've listened to more, but i discoverd showtunes and havent turned back
I, too, have been swept up by the joys and wonders of showtunes, but the incredible SoCo will always have a place in my heart, and in my stereo.

have they ever used the William Tell overture in any of their songs?
If not I think they should now.....now that he's gone.......it would be deliciously ironic.
No, they haven't used the William Tell.
I doubt they ever will.
(He was WAY hot.)
They have some WONDERFUL songs though.
The best known are "Konstantine", "I Kissed a Drunk Girl", and "I Woke Up in a Car".
My favorite is "I Want to Save You".
It's my favorite song EVER, not just by them.
(lol, I have a bit of a savior complex. It's kinda the perfect song.)
I'm partial to "Walking By."
"Konstantine" never ceases to make me sob uncontrollably. I love that song.
on1ystarinthesky, I just listened to "Walking By" in your honor.
Great song.
I also like "Wait", which is a rare track.
And the ORIGINAL version of "Punk Rock Princess".
(dubbed the Heroin version)
It's really slow and sad.
(if you want these songs, PM me)
My mom's favorite is "Globes and Maps".
We sing it on long car trips, and she and I have each worked out our own harmony parts.
It's a LOT of fun.
And I think it sounds pretty good, but I'm partial.
"Konstantine" is a beautiful song.
"Babies of the 80s" is fun!
Off North my favorite is "Me and the Moon"
...I think I just love anything they do.
EDIT: Ooooooh you are SO right that the original PRP is better, so much better its disgusting.
Glad you like the original PRP!!!!
It's AMAZING.
I think it's from before the band started, because it sounds like just Andrew and a piano.
Same style as Konstantine.
From North, I agree with "Me and the Moon", but my fave is "She Paints Me Blue".
The question is what songs DON'T I love by Something Corporate? All my favorites never landed on their major label releases. Thank the heavens for Kazaa. Konstantine is amazing, Walking By, Letters to Noelle is really good, as well as Little. I've also been listening to Cavanaugh Park a lot recently. From North my favorites at the moment are Ruthless and Miss America. The list goes on....
"Cavanaugh Park" is my 'sit-and-wallow-in-my-not-so-miserable-misery' song. Wonderful song.
"Globes and Maps" is the first song that I think ever made me cry without being accompanied by a depressing video.
My ex-roommate (bit of a hateful girl) used to blast the song "iF yoU C Jordan".
And she only sang along to the part that repeatedly says "F*** YOU JORDAN".
She would SCREAM it.
By contrast, I would play "I Want to Save You" and "Konstantine" and cry myself to sleep.
Yes, I'm really that pathetic.
