If it's free, and there is nothing to indicate a shill or a troll, and it could be of benefit to me, should I still be afraid of it? The factor of the unknown, and the undeniable validity of the personalities behind what I am talking about create an interesting struggle.
What would you do if a total stranger came to you with a tool that could potentially be of great benefit to you in your professional career as a singer, dancer, actor, comedian, reality tv star wanna-be, and just put it in your hands. 100% free of charge, and said "This is for you. It will only work if you put the work into it. Your success with this is entirely up to you. I do not want your money. I do not want to sell you anything. I want to help you work to get the attention you deserve!" What would you do?
Just wondering. Discuss.
uh-oh the scammer, troll, shill, snake oil salesman is back...
Nope. Just gathering opinion. consider yours counted. Thanks for the input, thetinymagic2.
Does free advertising count as getting something for nothing?
Said like a TRUE SCAMMER, ED.
I haven't lived over 5 decades for nothing.
Should I care that you count my opinion?? You're welcome, SCAMMER. I'm so blessed.

Well, "Tiny", keep your eyes on your local television listings in February. Then tell me if I am a scammer or not. Thank you, by the way, for posting my link. That was very kind of you. I was refraining from doing so becaus I was strictly looking for opinion and response. However, you have expidited the process, and saved me the grief and time.
You state that you have not lived over five decades for nothing. Well, I would hope not. I am certain that your contributions to the world we live in have been numerous and noteworthy.
Simply said, "Tiny", our venture is not for everyone. We actually discourage people from joining our site if they have already found the means by which to promote themselves in the professional arena. Now, if I were truly a scammer, and merely trolling for witless rubes to fork over their hard earned cash for a spot on a worthless and untrafficked site, there are other mediums I could pursue. Certainly I am not naive enough to think that I could just randomly start posting and spamming boards that are frequented by seasoned professionals who would not immediately dismiss such a venture.
Aside from your somewhat hostile attack on my posting, most people who have responded to me, and asked questions about the true motive of my posting have responded in a very positive manner. You see, "Tiny", there is no hook. There is no scam. You either make it work for you, or you don't. Surely, in your five decades of life experience, you have learned that you write your own ticket in this world. I, and my associates, make no offer to "make your dreams come true overnight." We simply make available a place for performers to gather online, share their talents, thoughts, and get their faces in front of the people who are looking for new, fresh, talented people who have a passion for performing. Tell me, "Tiny", were you this skeptical about Facebook before you joined and began posting about your talents and carreer there?
We do not tout ourselves as an ageny. Nor do we pretend to be talent scouts, casting directors, or managers. That is not, and never was our purpose or intention. If you take the time to explore the site, enjoy some of the video and audio that some of the artists from around the globe have posted, you might see the viability in what we are doing. The membership we have established up to this point has been strictly word of mouth. And the fact that we have gained membership from people on nearly every continent that way speaks volumes, does it not?
We do not charge the artists who join our site. Show me where the hook is. Please give me exhibit A as to where YOU think I and my associates are bilking people. Where is the form requesting credit card information? Where is the asterisk that leads to the miniscule footnote about charges, fees, etc.? PLEASE show these to me, "Tiny". Obviously, in my nearly five decades as an industry professional, I have become myopic to the point I cannot find them myself.
Again, thank you, "Tiny", for your opinion. I am certain that I will take much wisdom from it.
The best of luck to you.

I am totally engaged in all this! Really! If nothing else, this has been an amazing observation of "anonymous" social behavior. I am fascinated by the throwing of stones by everyone who is hiding behind a screen name, or celebrity photo, or both. It amazes me that the fear (yes, kiddos, it is fear) you all seem to be experiencing over my presence here, and apparent ability to deflect the juvenile bullets of these junior high school antics, has become so consuming!
artscallion, your posting and comment are golden. Chris Farley was brilliant, and that you would put me in a class with him is truly humbling. Thank you.

Why, thank you, FindingNamo! What is YOUR favorite curse word?
