Sondheim pre-concert lecture at Ravinia for Sunday in the Park

jsut learned that Steve will be giving a pre-concert lecture at the Saturday performance of Sundayin The Park...this boy is flying to Chicago for the weekend and will be on the lawn picnincing Saturday nihgt -- another night of Audra, Michael and Patti -- and now Steve himself will be there -- YIPPIE!

I am SO jealous. He's my God-on-earth. My dream in life has always been to originate a role in a show by him - written with me in mind - wouldn't that be amazing? I guess I'll have to be happy with having been able to do a couple of his shows in my career - "Sweeney Todd" and the nat'l tour of "Sunday in the Park..."

I listened to his pre-concert speech last year before Passion. It was very interesting. He also took a bow during the curtain call. Too bad I got my tickets for Friday. I will miss the speech this year.

I was able to attend the interview he did for Sweeney at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. I will be seeing SUNDAY on Sunday! I can't wait.

BUMP -- it's less than a week away
my friend went to hear Patti LuPone sing here last night in the small theater -- she was in amazing voice -- did the COulds/Shoulda/Woulda concert..great show -- Audra, Lonny and Michael wereall ther supporting thier fellow cast member....picnic grounds, Saturday 5:00 PM -- come say hi!
