I have to read it for summer school. English II PAP. Yeah...
For those of you who have read it, what is your opinion of the book? I've read up to about page...13. It's kind of interesting so far. I hope it's not like this the rest of the way through, "Where is my next letter? Who am I?" It's a 500 page book on philosophy...great.

Parks i think you should just read the book... if you find you're struggling set points for breaks... try reading 35 pages then have a 15 minute break to do something... i usually force a hundred pages before i can have a cig! It does work and you find yourself understanding the narrative and finding the important stuff because you know you haven't got to read the whole book in one! Hope it helps!

I read it for my AP English class in 2001.
It's an incredible book.
Seriously.
Alright, at times it's in "translationese".
And at times they go off into explanations of the history of philsophy and you fall asleep.
But I did learn a lot about philosophy by reading it.
It helped me ace my Philosophy 121 in college.
And the structure of the story is positively fascinating.
I highlighted in 3 colors and had 3 colors of pen to underline with in order for me to be able to connect parts of the story with each other, and parts of the philosophy to the clues, and the letters...
I lent my heavily marked copy to a philosophy major friend of mine 2 years ago and haven't seen it since.
I really wish I had it...
I listed it as one of my favorite books on thefacebook.
Enjoy it, and don't ruin it for yourself by reading ahead.
The end is insane.

I'm playing DDR right now instead of having a cigarette..
and 13 pages is a lot for me. I'm quite a slow reader. I was too sleepy earlier to read a lot.

No, BG said that he makes himself read before he takes a smoke-break. I was saying, instead of smoking--I play DDR. Eh?
Dance Dance Revolution--my anti drug.
(even though smoking isn't a drug...whatever)
