This is what happens when you move all the hour long dramas to 9pm. You can't explore the plotlines you did before and shows end up being canceled.
'Southland' Sunk By Gun-Shy NBC
I didn't even know this show was on.
Didnt I see the pilot for this last spring? I didnt think it was that great, so it fell off my radar.
NBC has gone down the toilet. Not one new show that premiered this season that I have seen has been any good. I watched a half hour of 'Mercy' and erased it from my DVR. Same thing with 'Trauma'. I watched 'Community' and did not laugh once and gave it the axe from viewing schedule and I love Joel McHale.
Because of the new day and time I can no longer watch Law & Order: SVU. I do not understand why there has to be 5 nights of Jay Leno. They seem hellbent on killing all their scripted dramas.
The only thing I still currently watch on NBC is 'Heroes' and so far it's a total snoozefest. I am looking forward to return of 'Friday Night Lights" in January but I'm not really sure how that's going to work around the Winter Olympics.

Funny.
I drove right by one of their location shoots today on the way home...
What a shame
It was a really good drama to replace the spot vacated by ER
It seemed like a good police drama unlike S.W.A.T or Police Woman.
Another quality show bites the dust. NBC is an embarrassment.

i quite enjoyed this show... here's hoping USA picks it up or FX... it's weird that 9pm was considered too early for the show yet they showed it at 8pm during reruns... oh well..
on the PLUS side... CHUCK may come back early!!!!

Or Lee Marvin in M Squad. And other references from the 1950s.
I really didn't care for Southland that much. To tell you the truth, I thought that ER was getting better even though it was coming to it's final season ( Archie and Claudia were one of my favorite on screen couples! )
But I do agree with Tom about NBC not knowing how to promote their best dramas. For example, Life with Damian Lewis was such a good show, but the time slot that they put it in was not good! So it ended up getting canceled. It seems as if NBC's best shows end up going to the USA network.
Sorry to hear that it's been cancelled before it's even back on the air. It was a really good show.

The failure to promote Life was utterly ridiculous - they didn't even get Damian Lewis or Sarah Shahi to do a Leno appearance or something, and I highly doubt it was because of any unwillingness on their parts. But really, it seems like these days NBC doesn't know how to promote anything. Good shows with crap ratings are kind of its signature for me at this point.
Since my previous post in this thread I tried watching last weeks episode of 'Heroes' over the weekend and it was so dull that I have decided to to cut it from my tv viewing schedule. This show was so amazing the first season but it has become so tedious I can't stand it.
So as if right now, I watch nothing on NBC.
