I'm a bit confused.
I registered on the website for tickets, but is that the ONLY way you can get them?
It's like a lottery?
If you don't get picked there's no way of buying tickets?
I don't really like this method. I'd much rather they be placed on Ticketmaster and let every person have an equal shot at getting them.
tell us whats ya want. what you really really want.
Helpful.
Have you ever TRIED to get tickets on ticketmaster for a really hot show? Ticketmaster is in no way fair. I was helping a friend find tickets for the Beastie Boys at Hammerstein this morning.. not a prayer.
I know folks defend ticketbastar* by saying that the broker market reveals what the actual prices should be and that the maximum price that people WILL pay is the true market value.. but I can't wrap my mind around paying over 1000 for any ticket. I didn't even pony up that for Rent 10.
The Spice Girls have the right idea. I love them.
Are tickets really going to be in THAT much of demand? Maybe overseas.
There's only four US shows, ljay.
They're smart to have so little.
One NY show means people will be coming from NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI, MA, MD, VA and probably farther.
That is true. I wish they would sell them on Ticketmaster.
The problem with this method is that only the die-hard fan and eBay scalpers are going to actually go through all that effort. The majority of people that would consider seeing the concert aren't going to bother, rather than jumping through hoops for the privilege of being allowed to buy tickets.
What's the site? I can't find it!
It's the Spice Girls' official site. www.thespicegirls.com
I like this idea too, but as a former (oh hell, current) die-hard fan, I'm worried that I simply won't get a chance to see the concert of my lifetime. I saw 4 of 5 on the world tour when they came to Milwaukee years ago, but I never got to see them all together. As lame as it sounds, this reunion tour is a chance to go back and live a childhood dream.
