I hope whomever needs to approve this says "No way!" and that no US airlines think "Hey, this is a good idea".

I don't think the U.S. airlines could do that even if they wanted to. Everyone has to be fastened in during takeoff and landing, even the flight attendants.

I flew a domestic flight on Aerflot a few years ago and not only were people standing throughout the flight, but animals were allowed onboard. There were dogs and a few goats--to say nothing of the smoking in the cabin.

I couldn't wait for the flight to end!
