Now that spring is here, let's talk about our favorite things of this wonderful season!
I love that when I wake up everyday, the sun is shining and the weather is warmer. I love the smell in the air of new grass and flowers, and leaves growing on the trees. And I love baseball season (had to throw that in)!
What are your favorite things about spring?

Today I bought a new lawn mower. It was a gorgeous Spring day and I mowed the lawn.

I absolutely love spring. I love the bright colors everywhere. I love going on a nice hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and stopping along the way to enjoy a nice picnic, while a faint breeze flows through my hair! I love everything about spring...except...
My allergies always go insane! It's truly insane! I sneeze an average of 100 times a day. But it still is my favorite time of year! :)
aahhh, Spring. I love everything about it, like the bright and sunny days, the flowers, and the occasional light rain showers. hehehe. i'm such a sap.

Only downside: allergies
BUT, spring is just joyful in general.
I 3 rain. Our track meets keep getting rained out. I like dancing and just sort of sitting in the rain, but the rescheduling of stuff around my track meets are ggetting really annoying.
Nothing. It's hot. Humid. Uncomfortable.
Thenardier- you are such a spoilsport. I was trying to have a positive thread about good stuff!!!
My allergies act up a lot, but I LOVE Spring. Perfect weather, and the city is ten times more amazing.
Sorry, Liotte...
I just miss Winter!
Fall-Winter 2006 in Russia!
The rebirth of dormant trees and the blooming flowers, coming outside and not needing to wear a heavy jacket. The sweet smell of the air and the sound of birds chirping. The color sensation.

The overwhelming sense of rebirth and renewal; that even after the longest winter, the promise of life is at hand.
The return of color. And sunlight... lots of it!
I just remembered posting in my blog while I was sitting outside last week. Here's part what I wrote:
It's 75 degrees in Manhattan, and I'm sitting on a bench in a courtyard on campus, watching the traffic go by on Broadway and doing some high-quality people watching. I had a class outside today for the first time since I've been in college, and then I was out on the lawn with some friends. It's the kind of thing you always see in pictures when colleges want you to go to them, or when you go on tours of schools. But there's something about this city in the spring time that always amazes me. Just sitting outside for a while today, everything around me felt so purely revitalized. I'd been feeling so claustrophobic and constricted in the past few weeks after being cooped up in my dorm and having to use the tunnels at school because it was just so cold. The entire city feels like it's opened up, and feels ten times more expansive than it does in the winter. Suddenly I feel like I never want to go back indoors, and go run around Central Park or something. It's amazing.
... thought it fit, and was better than my first post on the thread.
I love the fact that I could finally plant a flower garden, my new townhouse has a very tiny little patio in the back with flower beds. So now that it is spring I have beautiful flowers which smell amazing. I love the weather, the birds chirping, the sun shining, everything...other than allergies. Which reminds me I forgot to take my allergy pill this morning...oh well.

I love the fact that young ladies wear less clothing.
NYC in the spring is awesome.
The city actually smells fragrant. I love when the blossums begin to fall from the tress and blow in the air. I love not wearing a coat. I love the fact that a tee shirt and jeans is proper attire for many -- guys and girls. I love that sneakers are replaced with sandals.
I love that people are happier and the days are longer.

bassball season, warm weather, sunshine and baby animals... the rabbit in my avatar is due soon...
The things I used to like, I don’t like any more,
I want a lot of other things I’ve never had before,
It’s just like my mamma says, I sit around and mourn
Pretending that I am so wonderful and knowing I’m adored
I’m as restless as a willow in a windstorm,
I’m as jumpy as a puppet on a string,
I’d say that I had spring fever,
But I know it isn’t spring.
I’m as starry eyed and gravely discontented,
Like a nightingale without a song to sing.
Oh, why should I have spring fever,
When it isn’t even spring?
I keep wishing I were somewhere else,
Walking down a strange new street,
Hearing words I have never never heard,
From a man I’ve yet to meet.
I’m as busy as a spider spinning daydreams,
I’m as giddy as a baby on a swing,
I haven’t seen a crocus or a rosebud,
Or a robin or a bluebird on the wing,
But I feel so gay in a melancholy way,
That it might as well be spring,
It might as well be, might as well be,
It might as well be spring.

I didn't have to wear a coat or sweatshirt today!!!
classes end!!!!!!!!!
Also, you don't need a coat...but when it does get chilly, you just need to cuddle with your honey (or the current person you're with)!
