For some reason, the "Pirate Movie" thread made me think of this- Australian Musicals of the '80's.
I have a soft spot for this, but I guess how they compare is up to the viewer...

I think so, too, but I didn't want to offend any "Pirate Movie" lovers out there...(hang on, were there any?)
This was directed by Gillian Armstrong, after all. She's done some great things.
