Yeah, supportivemom!
Sorry, my face lit up when you mentioned Florida's conference/festival/whatever you call it. I went each year in high school and was District XI Student Rep my senior year and absolutely loved every little part of State. The mainstages, the individual events, the one-acts, opening and closing ceremonies, scholarship auditions, TBPAC, Morsani Hall, workshops, relations with other totally sweet theatre people, overpriced food, college and vendor booths, escalators, river, EVERYTHING. Sorry, I just have to reminisce every once in a while. I was in love with the thespian competitions when I was in high school and legitimately get pretty emotional thinking about them, especially State. And yes, last year the conference had between 7,000 and 8,000 people in attendance, I believe. It was awesome. AND we rocked BC/EFA donations. We are the largest non-profit donators to the organization...which is something to flaunt, I believe.
I digress.
As supportivemom said, the FL Thespian Conference hasn't happened yet this year (and I'm not even going when it does!), but congratulations to those of you from other conferences who did well and had a great time!
