If Irwin's fans are really doing it, then they're ignorant. What lesson are the stingray's supposed to learn here? It was doing what it thought it needed to to keep itself safe. Steve Irwin was well aware, I'm sure, that every time he went near dangerous animals, he could have been killed. I'm a fan of his, but his death was his fault.
People need to get a grip.

Posted: 9/12/06 at 2:50pmsting rays are normally so gentle... i've pet them before. this was like a freak accident. it's very sad but killing sting rays doesn't make it right. any fan of his should know that he would be very upset to know that animals were being killed in his name.

At first I thought this meant that Steve's Fans were responsible for HIS death.
