Who says I do, Goth? I know this seems impossible for a certain cohort to grasp on this board, but I am not now, nor have I ever portrayed myself as a My Party Right or Wrong kind of queen.

I'm not sure the Foley scandal really helps anyone--Democrats, Republicans, or (especially) gay rights activists. It's yet another opportunity for empty-headed bigots to point at us and say, "You see, we were right all along. Those gay people can't be trusted around our children."

Yeah, just browse the FreeRepublic, if you have the stomach, and see their reaction -- along with their hand-wringing that Condi and Laura Bush had the audacity to treat a new AIDS council appointee and his partner with respect (Condi referred to the partner's mother as the appointee's mother-in-law).
