"What the f**k are you doing?"
I miss LIVE AT 5.
Glebb, is that first question a rhetorical one, or did she use that phrase on the air?
Oh yes and Letterman keeps replaying it. :)

She said that in a promo leading up to the 11:00 news. She thought it was being taped, but they were live. She did her voiceover, then turned to Chuck Scarborough who was supposed to read his bit, but he was looking down and so she said "What the f*** are you doing?"
Thanks for the explanation. Oh my!! What was Chuck's reaction to that?
I've grown up with Sue Simmons and her craziness, but even this blew my mind!

I think Barack Obama ought to pick Sue Simmons as his running mate.
At last, someone who REALLY says what's on her mind.

We didn't see Chuck's reaction because the way the spot was designed, the camera moved to a picture of what Chuck was supposed to be talking about. So we heard Sue say her piece, but we were looking at I think a boat on the Hudson River and there was no sound for the rest of the 5 seconds. Chuck didn't say his piece.
Well from the tone of her voice in the clip, sounds like there's a bit of animosity there to say the least!
Supposedly Chuck, who looks fast asleep in that first shot, was trying to feel her up. I love the slight click sound of a jaw falling open after she says it and the chilling silence that follows.
Oh, and those freaks who comment on youtube, always good for a laugh:
"She spoke from the corruption of her heart. She is a corrupted woman and the dirty mouth of Jezebel. She has the spirit of the serpent."
I want the spirit of the serpent!
She said it really, really well.
Do you really think Chuck would try something like that?

They have been working together for over 25 years. If he hasn't figured out yet that she's a sister of Sappho, then he's dumber than we think. If he has any doubt, take a look at how Sue gushed over Lena Horne.
Exactly, but at the same time, the tone of her voice was definitely NOT in jest. The apology was kind of awkward.
When did this happen?
Well, it must be a tough job.
