So, this is kinda early, but I need to plan for this summer and I was wondering if anyone knew of any fun performing arts camps, I love to sing and act (but i can't dance to save my life *blush*). I'm a freshmen and just got into performing this year *I got the lead in the play and the a part of the lead in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat* and am in love! I'm partial to the midwest area but really am determined. Any Suggestions??
Any help is appreciated!
xoxo

There are many threads here about summer. Might try the search function.
One of the best is the Oklahoma City University Performing Arts Academy.

Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, Michigan (near Traverse City).
No other institution for arts training of kids and adolescents has the history or reputation of Interlochen. The theatre program is great - I did two years of camp there and then graduated from high school from the boarding school (Academy).

Stagedoor Manor is also excellent.

Posted: 12/30/06 at 3:34pmThe one big program is at Oklahoma City University. It is the most amazing program in the nation. If you are serious about studying musical theater, this is where you need to go. My friend went last year and said is was life changing. And she just got accepted to CCM! And they're doing Les Miz this summer! Yeahh!! So def check out OCU. http://www.okcu.edu/music/academy/summerprg.aspx

Posted: 1/7/07 at 6:42pmOklahoma City University has THE musical theater program...best in the nation. Like they said, it's only for serious people. It's not a summer camp like other programs. If I'm gonna spend all that money on a summer camp, I would want to go to one where I can learn something and not just ride a horse and do arts and crafts.
