I can think of many things tax dollars should be spent on & subsidizing a football stadium is not one. We than have to kick in for a new Yankee Stadium & one for the Mets & than maybe the Giants. We than have to give raises to muncipal workers & kick in big time for more education spending(as if throwing gobs of money now is having great results - not)

Wherever will the money come from I wonder ?

I am against it but if you are for it that is your business. Methinks the voters & citizens will get steamrolled again & it will be built no matter what they say. Now I see why I am totally turned off by politics

May the best man win

Happened in Seattle... twice we voted down a stadium and yet there it is.

Yes there it is. Another example of politicians being the voice of the people - not

I know about the Seattle debacle. Good thing you guys voted it down. By the way, loved Seattle. It is a beautiful city & the 5 th Ave theater is an absolute knockout.

I've heard tell that a sports complex rarely ever rejeuvenates (sp?) a neighborhood. Anybody know anything about this concept regarding urban planning?

It is a crock of you know what

Say the magic word JOBS & the world will beat a path to your door - whether it is true or not. Votes on this are for sale. Th Rev (not) Al Sharpton is for it after he exacted his pound of flesh in the form of promises for preferences for minority contractors. Wonder why it took the good Rev so long to sell his soul to the Devil

The only thing you can count on is the taxpayers will, as always, pick up the tab . Those that aren't fleeing the state or city anyway
