"IF Hans Blix is still searching for bombs, he should check out Surviving Christmas, a crass, shrill and laughless disaster of a holiday comedy with a desperately mugging Ben Affleck that should be banned under the Geneva Convention."
Ouch...
And if the link below doesn't work, just go to http://www.rottentomatoes.com and find Surviving Christmas.
There seems to be a bit more green on this page than red...

I refuse to believe it. It has Catherine O'Hara in it which means that it is going to be pure genius.
"Gandolfini and O'Hara are so gritty and wryly burned-out together that you want to express-mail them to another movie in time for next Christmas."
That can't be true. Again, I refuse to believe that the same woman who uttered the words "why don't you have one of those vagina enlargements" could do anything less than brilliant in a film.
She got good reviews, But the script sucked (the guy who did the gigalo movies w rob schnieder is responsible/guilty) Affleck mugs cos he has nothing else TO d.
Ah, they haven't made a really good movie since GONE WITH THE WIND.
Did you know that Vivien Leigh worked sixteen hours a day for SIX MONTHS when she played Scarlett O'Hara?
THAT's Art!!! :)
I think all the good scenes are in the trailer
Remember people thought Ishtar would be a classic
M_E there have been PLENTY of great films since GONE WITH THE WIND.
Oh Yeah Matt?
Name one (1) film since GWTW that had a) a whole city burn down;
b) a woman admitting she knew nothing about "birthing a baby"; and
c) Vivien Leigh.
THAT'S Entertainment! :)
Well isn't that like saying name one movie since THE GOONIES that's had
a) Seven kids going underground to hunt for lost treasure on a pirate ship
b) An old woman saying "Follow them Size 5's!" AND
c) Martha Plimpton

Is that the movie where Gandolfini hits Ben Affleck over the head with a snow shovel? I might see it just for that.

I was a crazy kid.
Well Matt,
Nobody consulted ME before they made up that crazy list (and you didn't say WHO made it up!)
It could be the work of the devil or anarchists!
That's the official list from the American Film Institute. I'm pretty sure they're not the devil since their main focus is film preservation and supporting new filmmakers.
Ah, C'mon!
ANY list of Best 100 Movies that has The Godfather, PART II on it does NOT HAVE the moviegoer's best interests at heart!
Well, considering that Part 2 WAS in fact one of the finest films ever made, it certanly belongs on that list.
Godfather Part 2 SHOULD be there. Updated On: 10/22/04 at 09:36 PM
I quote the Internet Movie Database:
"To call it a sequel would be a travesty."
Need I Say More?
Well I can take that a few ways, not all of them being bad. Was there more to that quote?
And just FYI, THE GODFATHER PART II is pretty much universally known as being superior to the first.
That's like saying a toothace is pretty much universally known to be better than a broken arm.
For someone who doesn't watch movies, you're pretty opinionated on the greats.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0071562/: The Godfather, Part 11.
I never said I didn't WATCH them, I just said I DON'T like them.
I watch a LOT of things I don't like. :)
