Oh, and I agree that so far this season is something of a turd. I don't have much enthusiasm for the Fans. I'm just watching in the hopes that Dawn, Eric or Cochran make it to the end. But in every season, the show rarely becomes interesting before the merge. I remember a few seasons ago when everyone was bitching about how it was the worst season ever and then it suddenly exploded after the merge and became one of the best seasons.

I just got back home from a trip and watched the episode and Phyllis is right about that is what happens when you put too crazy personalities together. Both Brandon and Phillip are psychopaths.
"Since next week is obviously a merge, I guess that doesn't really matter, but still."
I think the tribes are actually going to switch in the next episode. The jury usually consists of nine members who must decide on who to vote for in the final three. I think they will merge when there are twelve left.
Jeff Probst actually says that this season is better than 'Philippines' but I'm not sure about that right now.

Matt seemed like a nice guy, so it was a little disappointing to see him go, but Cochran was right about the tight alliance that Michael and Matt had. They did seem a little too dangerous together. I really hope Phillip does not make it to the end again. He really gets on my nerves.
What is the strange ability Phillip has to make everyone hate him and not want to ever vote for him??
Yeah, I don't get that either. Everyone bitches about him and seems to keep him around because he's "strong in challenges" (debatable), say they need him for votes, thinks he's crazy, yet does EXACTLY what he wants. I guess they are trying to protect their numbers going into the merge, but if any of them watched his season, they should know they need to get rid of Philip ASAP. And then Malcolm if they want to stand a chance at winning.
It's weird, but I'm really liking Corinne this time around. Her love for "the gays" had me in stitches.
I wouldn't say Phillip's abilities at challenges is debatable. He won the bag holding one easily, and he was the most dominant at last night's challenge on his tribe. Can he stand up to Malcolm and Reynold? Maybe not, but he's certainly the best on his new tribe.
That said, I wonder if Corinne and Phillip are going to form an alliance of some kind now - they're against each other, but both of them feel like they can trust each other enough not to vote each other out.

Next week, since it is the merge, we'll see if that four strong guys alliance that Malcom has created will really stick together or if they will be headed to the jury.
I'm still shaking my head and wondering why Corine, Michael and Julia didn't vote off Philip.
I'm really sick of The Philip Show. It's like Coach all over again. I honestly don't know why Probst thinks we want to see all Philip all the time. He is not fun to watch except for the occasional schadenfreude like when he complete ruins a challenge for his team because of his delusional ego.
Corinne was worried about being a target since the Favorites will have the numbers advantage going into the merge and she wouldn't want to piss off her core alliance as soon as they are reunited. Basically, she wimped out. Dawn missed out on a golden opportunity when Philip flipped the script on them. He told her early on why he wanted to get rid of Julia because she said something he told her not to say (which was dumb because he was having the conversation with her with others around). Then he had to get rid of Michael because he was friends with Corinne. That provided ALL the info they needed to get rid of Philip because it proved he will target anyone who doesn't work his own personal agenda, working against their alliance, and exposing himself as a hypocrite. PLUS, he provided Cochran with ammunition by claiming to throw the challenge (which Cochran knew was BS, but he could have really made use of that info).
At any rate, Corinne, Dawn and Cochran are trying to enter the merge with as much trust they can score with the other Favorites so they can Pagong the Fans. Dawn and Cochran are both probably feeling insecure and plan to take Philip to the end in order to score more votes for themselves, hoping people will hate Philip more than hating someone for keeping Philip around. What they haven't counted on was the possibility of a new alliance, such as Malcolm and Reynold.
Philip should have been the first one voted out instead of Francesca. After that, he should have gone instead of Matt. Dawn, Cochran and Corinne would have made a better case for their vote if they had more Fans on their tribe when Philip got the boot.

Tonight had a very good blindside. The people who thought they were in charge clearly did not see that coming. Corinne was entertaining to watch but she was DANGEROUS. She clearly made a mistake betraying the Favorites. Kudos to Dawn for sharing the big information that was given to her by Corrine.

I'm kind of glad Corinne is gone just because I was sick of hearing "the gays my gay a gay the gay." I know her fetishism of gay man is preferably to someone not liking another person just because they are gay, but it's just two sides of the same coin.

Corinne does not have anything nice to say about Phillip here.

I really liked Corinne and was sad to see her go, especially with Philip sticking around. I didn't get Cochran's line of reasoning that they should not vote off Philip because it would expose a crack in the Favorites, but yet he voted off Corinne and she was also a Favorite. Sounds like he's just trying to justify sticking with Philip because he thinks it will be an easier win. But not if Philip gets to the end and everyone basically did exactly what he wanted all the time. To me, that makes everyone else look even more stupid than Philip. And that's pretty hard to do.
I'm not surprised Corinne has nothing nice to say about Philip. You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who does. I certainly can't think of anything.
I don't care how treacherous Corrine was perceiced to be or how annoying Philip is, the favorites were idiots to give up one of their own and to not have blindsided Malcom.
But...Malcolm is also one of the Favorites. I just don't see the benefit in getting rid of Corinne, specifically, other than to placate Philip. I don't see how teaming with Philip will do Cochran or Dawn any favors in the final jury if they make it to the end.

Has Malcolm really been that much of a challenge monster in this game? No one on the show had seen his last season by this point, so I don't know if he's all that threatening, except in the "young fit guy" way that always scares the crap out of people even though the young fit guy rarely wins.
Apropros of nothing, here's Malcolm before he became a skinny hippie!
Wow. He physically looks so different, though the personality seems about the same.

Another blindside that the person who was voted off never saw coming. An idol was also flushed out tonight. Malcolm clearly is not going to do as well as he did last season.

Malcolm really seems like a pretty weak player this season. Maybe he's still exhausted from his season just ending but he's really nothing special this time around.
I don't care, I still love him.
***SPOILERS***
That was a pretty interesting tribal council. The way that they sweated out the idol and Molcolm totally busted himself was fascinating, though sadly, Michael was collateral damage. There really was no reason for sending him home at that point. Unfortunately, Philip will take all the credit and I still don't know why he feels the need to reveal his alliance and strategy at tribal or why everyone is just okay with it. I'm just going to assume he'll get carried to the finale again and we'll all have to be subjected to his delusional ego the rest of the season, which is a real shame.
come on matt, the trainwreck that is phillip is must see tv!!!
Im liking andrea more and more...
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
I wouldn't worry about seeing Philip too much longer. Bah-bye Pinky!
