I'm having sushi for dinner tonight! Who else loves sushi?
P.S. This thread is completely random and unneccesary

Salmon, always and forever. Whoever invented Sushi is my idol. ::mental loving vibes to creator of sushi::

ywiw, sushi isn't raw. sushi just means it's wrapped in seaweed. it could be cooked or raw. sashimi means it's raw. and on that note, my faves right now are california rolls and shrimp tempura rolls. yummy!
Sushi is the best...I am going to have to agree with shrimp tempura rolls...anyone in Chicago should check out Rise sushi on Southport near the brown line stop...the best sushi ever! Sushi chefs are amazing, they are fun to watch.
"I hope you're all happy, keeping Alan off the team. Couldn't you, for once, open your minds and hearts and hear something that he couldn't see? I, for one, am glad that Alan is blind, so he can't see what, I am so sad to say, you can't hear." -Jerri Blank
i love the fact that i can get shrimp tempura handrolls for like 1.69 and crab hand rolls for .99 and a california maki for like... 3.50 or something. Aloha Sushi is a good thing... it's the fast food of sushi, but it's still good.
By the by, I thought I should announce that my Sushi has arrived. Glory.

I love sushi and sashimi. I'm kind of hard-core about it. I love tuna, yellowtail, toro, salmon, squid, octopus, scallop, sweet shrimp (with the deep-fried heads on the side, of course!), white fish, all the maki, etc. The only things I don't really like are eel, that fake "krab" junk, and the cooked shrmip sushi, (As opposed to sweet shrimp, which is raw.) Oh, and I'm not all that fond of giant clam, although I like surf clam. :-P
There's a place nearby that has all-you-can-eat sushi. Now I know what you're thinking - ugh, bad quality, probably sits out all day...not the case here! It's all you can ORDER, so they make it fresh each time, and it's as quality and authentic as you can get. Haha, I just had a huge dinner and typing this is still making me hungry...
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I stand clarified - I knew that somewhere in the back of my brain, but my general dislike for anyting that could include raw fish overcame my senses! I do not like most cooked fish. And, I detest Salmon. Apparently, my West LA Jew gene got lost someowhere between conception and delivery!
In fact, now that I think about it, I don't even like crab-based Sushi.
I don't like most cooked fish, but I love sushi. Go figure.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson
Philapelphia rolls and charlie rolls are delicious! My company had a Christmas party, and there was a free sushi bar...yeah, let's just say I'd better be careful about eating as much as I did or else the big bad wolf will come and blow my house down.
I love sushi as well. When I was in Australia, I went to a sushi bar in Melbourne and told the sushi chef, give me whatever isn't in the Northern Hemisphere. There was some different stuff.
Once a Japanese woman took me out for sushi to a place where no one spoke English and the customers were all Japanese. She ordered everything, it was awesome.
