Swaying people towards voting one way or another

Anyone here feel like they're being swayed to vote one way or another?

I went to a Register to Vote tent on my college campus. Good idea, right? Well, the kicker was that everyone was wearing giant Obama stickers. That may be a bit too much temptation for people registering to vote for the first time.

I am going to vote absentee in the state of Texas. Residents of the state that I am in for college are badgering me to register for this state, which is a swing. Apparently, my vote "will count more" here.

The real reason? Texas is a red state.

Yes, I'm not really bright enough to figure out who to vote for on my own. So, I usually just vote for whomever has the biggest stickers.

Politics, I feel, is the one area where sticker swaying shouldn't be used, particularly against the helpless, weak minded first time voters on college campuses.

Whoever you vote for, remember that voting for McCain happens on November 4 and voting for Obama happens on November 5.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Cruel, I believe legally you cannot vote in NM as you are not a resident, but a student.

Your paying out of state tuition, and your hom on all your records is TX, hence you must vote there.

And it isn't even conceivable that you would vote for anyone but Obama considering the alternatives.

Cruel, don't listen to them. Vote for the candidate you feel is best qualified to lead the country. But speaking as someone who's been following the election pretty closely, here's a tip. If you're voting for McCain, vote in Texas. He's having trouble there and he can use it. If you're voting for Obama, vote in New Mexico. He can use the help he can get there.

The sad part is, that last bit isn't really sarcasm.

Do NOT vote in New Mexico. The vote is this state has NEVER even been counted before the announcement of the winner.

As much as it pains me to say it, stay with Texas.

Seriously, since when is McCain having trouble in Texas? John Coryn (sorry, too lazy to look up spelling) has struggled a bit, but I haven't noticed anything suggesting McCain is anything but a given. Interesting
