Sweeney Movie Rating

Does anyone know what it will be rated. I asume PG-13, but it could be taken into wrong hands and could be turned R, and become a horror movie. Anybody know or have a guess?

re: Sweeney Movie Rating

Why would people want to speculate on a rating when the script has not even been finalized?

re: Sweeney Movie Rating

If Burton films it in the Sleepy Hollow vein, then the potential for a classic exists.

re: Sweeney Movie Rating

I can guarantee you that it won't be R rated. It's hard enough selling a movie musical to the general public without the studio limiting its audience even further with a restrictive rating. And for what it's worth, if they're going to make it, I'm pleased that Burton's the one getting a crack at it. He's one of the few Directors that might actually be able to pull it off.

re: Sweeney Movie Rating

It will most likely be PG-13 for "dark thematic elements, violence, and some gore."
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal "I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello

re: Sweeney Movie Rating

My guess is PG-13. Glad to hear this is in the BEST of hands with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. I for one, am very much looking forward to it.

Guess I am out of the loop. I thought it wasn't going to be a musical.
