Local news will be covering Applegate's injury any moment.
I didn't even like the t-shirts.

Posted: 3/13/05 at 11:31pmDr. Glebb--you know more about dance injuries than most of us...how long does it take to heal and dance again when you've fractured your foot by bumping into a stage set light pole on an exit? (According to someone on All that Chat.) Is there physical therapy involved?

while I wish Ms. Applegate a speedy recovery, I am more interested in seeing Ms. Damboise in the role, as I respect her talents as a dancer and an actress...
I believe April 4th is the first day of previews in NY...
Yes, Addy.. That must be rectified indeed...

I'm not a PT expert PJ, sorry.
I can tell you that when I was fifteen I broke my fifth metatarsal and was out for nine weeks. But injury treatment is so much better these days.

Good to hear Ms D'Amboise will take over for good.
Wish I had seen her. I may not have left at intermission.
I still think there is a lot of change that needs to take place with the show. But, this is a great step.
re: Sweet Charity. So Bad....#111
Posted: 3/14/05 at 7:12pmbut you're not pleased with the production itself, regardless of the star, Glebby.. as you've said, though, baby steps.

Correct. It was awful.
It needs tons of changes.
But maybe Charlotte D can make up for a lot of it.
re: Sweet Charity. So Bad....#113
Posted: 3/14/05 at 7:18pmthere's always June, Glebby.... :) assuming the production survives....
re: Sweet Charity. So Bad....#114
Posted: 3/15/05 at 7:52amLooks like this production just may survive. Call me crazy..but with Charlotte being permanant now....I think things are looking up.

I am, once again, looking forward to it. I have tickets in early April in New York...

Posted: 3/15/05 at 10:02amOh Addy...I have tickets for this Friday night. It will be the first performance in Boston and thus, Charlotte's first performance. I'm not expecting perfection, but I feel confident with the show in Charlotte's hands. Its here for 2 weeks..I may have to sneak back and catch it again! Then I'll expect perfection. Hehehe.

I've always secretly wanted to be a theatre critic. But I'll go back to fractions for now..

From another website:
The worst kept secret on Broadway during the past two weeks...
Is that Charlotte D'amboise and the two replacements were in the rehearsal room getting ready for the "spontaneous" broken foot of Ms. Applegate. She was rehearsing in NYC with the replacements who were also in NYC.
re: Sweet Charity. So Bad....#121
Posted: 3/15/05 at 12:06pmIt's looking more and more likely that this is the case PJ. I for one am practically shaking in anticipation of Friday night.....
